Save money on your next air ambulance flight
The idea behind our discounted flight program is the fact that most patients require a one way flight but get charged for the complete round trip. The air ambulance empty leg program was developed in order to find a second patient who will use the same aircraft to return to the same or similar originating route. By utilizing this system, our customers can save up to 50% off of their quoted price.
In order to qualify and join the air ambulance discounted flight program and save up to 50% off of the quoted price, we require our clients to provide us with their complete travel information, patient medical status, financial information and at least a 7 day window within which they can fly on. Providing this information allows us to offer the second leg of the flight to many other potential clients and as soon as one is ready to book a flight we can then apply the discount and be ready to go.
When you call to request a quote we will begin the process of looking for a backhaul or empty leg. What this means is to utilize the aircraft in both directions vs one client having to pay for the aircraft to fly round trip with one leg empty.
How we do that? We go out to our regular clients such as assistance and insurance companies, hospitals and other open requests to see if your medical transport can be combined with another. We work diligently to reduce your cost. It is easier to do this, once you have defined a tentative date to fly, or if your dates are open.
Will the reduction of cost reduce quality of care? NO! As explained before the total cost of the air ambulance flight is divided between 2 parties. All air ambulances are staffed with Critical Care Nurses and Paramedics. If our Medical Director deems necessary we will have a Doctor on board. American Jet Rescue specializes in complex medical repatriations including European and Pacific Rim Air Ambulance Service.
Strategically Located Air Ambulance Partners
The most costly part of an air ambulance flight is the operation of the aircraft. As the distance increases, the cost increases. If you call an air ambulance provider that does not have an aircraft located in close proximity to your patient, they must fly a great number of ferrying miles (empty miles) to reach the patient, which adds to the air ambulance cost. In order to provide a true worldwide capability we have spent a tremendous amount of time and resources to locate, identify, qualify and approve only the best air ambulance providers in the world. This, in turn, allows American Jet Rescue Air Ambulance to respond to you with a timely response by using a nearby air ambulance aircraft that saves you money.
Connecting Flights
American Jet Rescue Air Ambulance has developed an air ambulance network with Strategic Partners in the United States and around the world.
